4: “ Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire: “ / 5: “ Cel ce faci pe îngerii Tãi duhuri si pe slugile Tale parã de foc ; “ ( Ps.104:4 / 103:5 ) /

Daily Bible Guide
Authorized Version
Psalms, Chapter 104

1: Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
2: Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
3: Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:
4: Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
5: Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.
6: Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.
7: At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.
8: They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.
9: Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.
10: He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.
11: They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.
12: By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.
13: He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
14: He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
15: And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.
16: The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;
17: Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.
18: The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.
19: He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.
20: Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.
21: The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.
22: The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.
23: Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.
24: O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
25: So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.
26: There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.
27: These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.
28: That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.
29: Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.
30: Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
31: The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.
32: He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.
33: I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
34: My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
35: Let the sinners be be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.

Arjen’s birthday

48 (years old) ?

46 on July 20, 2012 ....ziua in care l-am cunoscut pe Arjen Dijksman la Bucuresti, la facultatea de Matematica a Universitatii Bucuresti din str.Academiei nr.14, sector 3.

Bonjour Guy, bonjour Jean-Bernard,

Mes salutations amicales,

A catholic bible study

Suggestions for a good bible study
Read over the study and become familiar with its contents.
Answer the questions yourself if you are to be the leader
Find the scriptures in your bible so you are familiar with where the verses are.
Pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit to begin a bible study in your parish.
Principles of the bible study:
*A bible study is not a theological discussion group, there are not experts that have all the answers. A bible study group is for spiritual growth and no matter who you are you can share from your life.
*A bible group show be a place for anyone to feel comfortable about sharing and not a place for arguments or heated discussions.  If a problem arises simply suggest that the discussion would be better outside the group and return to your focus.
*A bible study group is not  place to make your point or try and change the life of another. Everyone is there to  hear and share on Gods word and everyone can find a place of conversion and encouragement.

Make a concrete plan: 1) choose a day of the week most convenient for people. It maybe convenient to begin a bible study after Sunday mass.   Or maybe another evening or day time. You could have a bible study for moms with kids during the day. You could have a bible study for teens. You could have a bible study for adults  on a Saturday or Friday night.
2)Choose a season of the year ie Lent or Advent or summer time and announce a beginning  and when the bible study will end.  You might want to do a  4 week bible study and choose from the contents four interesting topics. You might want  to do a bible study and  just do each lesson one after another. The important part is to choose and beginning and when the bible study will end.
3)Invite a group to gather for an hour or an hour and a half bible study.  Maybe have tea and some sweets to show hospitality to each other. Have one person each week responsible for bringing these to the bible study.
4)Simple format a)Begin with welcome a song and a prayer to the Holy Spirit or the Blessed Mother or simple the Our Father to guide the bible study.
                               b) Have bibles and other material ready to use and begin to read the verses of the scripture.  Have different people read from the bible so all can participate.
                               c) answer the discussion questions together.  Be sure as a leader you don’t dominate. Allow for time for as many to answer the questions as possible.  Some people take time to think about a question so allow for some quiet time for people to answer the questions. Some people think better if they write down their answer so have pen and paper available for all. Let people speak even if they might go off topic alittle.  If one person goes off topic too much simply remind the person of the question. If there are not or little discussions on one questions go to the next. Do be in a hurry though to answer all the questions if the discussion is good stay with the discussion.  Notice the time and make sure you stay to the  the time assigned and when it is 10 minutes to the end make mention that we have 10 minutes to finish our discussion.
Note: Some people find it easy to talk publicly others find it difficult. The object of bible sharing is for all to feel like they are included. Allow for time for all to share it they want but no one is required to share all the time.  Ask for reactions from those who are more silent to encourage their sharing. Ask others who might speak more to help others but simply asking questions for others to answer.
d)end with pray tanking God what you shared and learned  and ask if there are any needs we could pray for . Simple pray these prayers for each other.  Ask the group to pray for each other during the week and come next week with any ways the bible study has affected their daily life.
                                e) Invite others to attend the bible study if they are interested. Always have an open group ready to welcome new members.

INTRODUCTION
God wants everyone to come to know and love Him. The Scriptures reveal a great deal about Our Lord—His plan for our salvation, details about His character, and what He expects of those who wish to follow Him. In other words, God’s Word is a glimpse into the mind of our Creator!
This Bible study was written with consideration for the problems and challenges we face today. Because the Bible is inspired by God, and therefore timeless, it is as relevant today as the day it was written, and the principles apply to our modern age.
Hopefully, after completing this study, the students will not only be more familiar with the Scriptures and will have learned the importance of applying them to their daily lives, but will also see the need to begin a closer, more personal walk with the One who gave His life that we might have the hope of eternal life
LESSON ONE
WHO DO YOU SAY THAT I AM?
In order to love someone, we must first get to know him or her. The Scriptures tell us who God is and how He thinks. Jesus wants to be the most important person in your life. It is natural to want to spend time with those we love. The following study will help you determine where God fits in your life.
READ
1.  Who did some people think Jesus was while He was on earth? (Matthew 16: 13–14)
Matei 16:13 “Si venind Iisus in partile Cezareii lui Filip, ii intreba pe ucenicii Sai, zicand : Cine zic oamenii cã sunt Eu, Fiul Omului ?”. / When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
Matei 16:14 “Iar ei au raspuns : Unii, Ioan Botezatorul, altii Ilie, altii Ieremia sau unul dintre prooroci”. / And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
2.  What did Peter say he believed about Jesus? (Matthew 16:16)
Matei 16:16 “Raspunzand Simon Petru a zis : Tu esti Hristosul, Fiul lui Dumnezeu Celui viu. » / And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
3.  Who revealed to Peter the identity of Jesus? (Matthew 16:17)
Matei 16:17 “Iar Iisus, raspunzand, i-a zis : Fericit esti Simone, fiul lui Iona, cã nu trup si sange ti-au descoperit tie aceasta, ci Tatal Meu, Cel din ceruri.” / And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
4.  To some, Jesus is no more than a historical figure. To others, He is truly “the way, the truth, and the life.” Look up the following Scriptures and write what Jesus wants to be to you.
John 3:16
Ioan 3:16 “Caci Dumnezeu asa a iubit lumea, incat pe Fiul Sãu Cel Unul-Nascut L-a dat ca oricine crede in El sa nu piarã, ci sa aiba viatã vesnicã”. /  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 10:11
Ioan 10:11 “Eu sunt pãstorul cel bun. Pãstorul cel bun isi pune sufletul pentru oile sale”. / I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
John 13:15
Ioan 13:15 “Cã v-am dat vouã pildã, ca, precum v-am facut Eu vouã, sa faceti si voi.“ / For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
J John 14:14
Ioan 14:14 “Daca veti cere ceva in numele Meu, Eu voi face.” / If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
John 15:5
Ioan 15:5 “Eu sunt vita, voi sunteti mlãditele. Cel ce ramane in Mine si Eu in el, acela aduce roadã multã, caci fara Mine nu puteti face nimic.” / I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
John 15:13–17
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Ioan 15:14 “Voi sunteti prietenii Mei, daca faceti ceea ce vã poruncesc.” / Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
Ioan 15:16 “Nu voi M-ati ales pe Mine, ci Eu v-am ales pe voi si v-am rânduit sa mergeti si roadã sa aduceti, si roada voastrã sa ramana, ca Tatal sa va dea orice-i veti cere in numele Meu.” / Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Ioan 15:17 “Aceasta vã poruncesc : sa va iubiti unul pe altul.” / These things I command you, that ye love one another.
5.  Many times we say we love Jesus, but our actions do not reflect this. What do you think it means to give God “lip service?” (Isaiah 29:13)
Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
6.  How can we prove our love for Jesus? (John 14:15)

LESSON THREE
LORD,TEACH US TO PRAY
Conversation is one of the most important components of a relationship. Prayer is the vehicle we use to speak to God and He with us. Since He often speaks in a still, small voice, it is important that we listen carefully. God wants to speak to you. Will you give Him an attentive ear?
READ
1.  When Jesus’ disciples asked Him to teach them to pray, what was His response? (Luke 11:1–4)

» / And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. LESSON FOUR
THE FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
You recognize the value of a tree by the fruit it bears (see Mt. 7:17–19). The fruit of a person’s spiritual life is manifested by his or her actions.
It is the Holy Spirit, working in the person’s life that makes this possible. When we were baptized, we received the Holy Spirit for the first time and our parents claimed us for Christ and the Church. When we receive the sacrament of Confirmation, the sacrament completes the baptismal grace. We then have a greater obligation to spread the faith and defend it against attack (CCC 1285).
READ
1.  Who is the Holy Spirit? (Matthew 28:19)
Matei 28:19 “ Drept aceea, mergând, învãtati toate neamurile, botezându-le în numele Tatãlui si al Fiului si al Sfântului Duh” / Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
2.  What is one of the functions of the Holy Spirit? (John 14:26)

3.  Jesus said people would know Christians by their fruit. What did He mean? (Matthew 7:16)
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
4.  Name the fruits of the Holy Spirit. (Galatians 5:22–23)
Galateni 5:22 “Iar roada Duhului este dragostea, bucuria, pacea, îndelunga-rãbdare, bunãtatea, facerea de bine, credinta,” / But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance:against such there is no law.
5.  Read the parable of the fig tree (Luke 13:6–9). What do you think the story is telling Christians?
Luca 13:6 “ Si le-a spus pilda aceasta : Cineva avea un smochin, sãdit in via sa si a venit sa caute rod in el, dar n-a gasit.” / He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
“ / Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
Luca 13:8 “Iar el, raspunzand, a zis : Doamne, lasa-l si anul acesta, pana ce il voi sapa imprejur si voi pune gunoi” / And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
Luca 13:9 “ Poate va face rod in viitor ; iar de nu, il vei taia.” / And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

2.  List some good fruits you are displaying at this time.
3.  Is there any bad fruit you think the Lord might want to prune away from your character? Write down one thing you think He might want to change.

LESSON SIX
JESUS IS BORN—THE FIRST COMING
The miracle of the Incarnation occurred when God took on the flesh of man. It is the most remarkable event to have ever taken place. Our Lady said “yes” to God even through she didn’t fully understand all of the details. Mary and Joseph trusted God with their lives. As you study this lesson, try to think of some ways to make Christmas “real” in your heart.
READ
1.  What are three reasons why Mary would have been confused and even fearful upon hearing the angel’s news that she would be the mother of Jesus? (Luke 1: 29, Matthew 1:18–19, Deuteronomy 22:23–24)
1. Logodna / The engagement (the espousals) ; 2. Închinãciunea Îngerului / The salutation of the Angel ; 3. Castitatea / The chastity
And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Matei 1:19 “Iosif, logodnicul ei, drept fiind si nevrand s-o vadeasca, a voit s-o lase in ascuns.” / Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
2.  What was Mary’s response to the angel of the Lord, in spite of her confusion? (Luke 1:38)

Memory verse 1 Peter 5;8

LESSON TEN HOW GOD DEFINES LOVE
Genuine love is sacrificial. In other words, if we are concerned about the feelings and needs of the one we love, we would never ask him to do something that would cause him harm. God loves mankind perfectly. When we put God first and love as He loves, we become capable of loving more perfectly.

The Fourth Commandment tells us that we must honor our parents. We do not honor them because they are perfect but because God tells us to do so. Since all humans are fallible, no person is perfect—whether parent or child. If you think of your parents as people with feelings and needs and ask what you can give rather than what you can receive, your relationship with them will improve in ways you cannot imagine. Since life is a gift from God, He is the only one who can give or take it away. God has a plan for every person, no matter how young or how old. God’s ways are not man’s ways.
