PRAYER FOR THE UNBORN CHILD

Almighty God, our Father, you who have given us life and intended us to have it forever, grant us your blessings. Enlighten our minds to an awareness and to a renewed conviction that all human life is sacred because it is created in your image and likeness. Help us to teach by word and the example of our lives that life occupies the first place, that human life is precious because it is the gift of God whose love is infinite.

Give us the strength to defend human life against every influence or action that threatens or weakens it, as well as the strength to make every life more human in all its aspects.

Give us the grace... When the sacredness of life before birth is attacked, to stand up and proclaim that no one ever has the authority to destroy unborn life.

When a child is described as a burden or is looked upon only as a means to satisfy an emotional need, to stand up and insist that every child is a unique and unrepeatable gift of God, a gift of God with a right to a loving and united family.

When the institution of marriage is abandoned to human selfishness or reduced to a temporary conditional arrangement that can easily be terminated, to stand up and affirm the indissolubility of the marriage bond.

When the value of the family is threatened because of social and economic pressure, to stand up and reaffirm that the family is necessary not only for the private good of every person, but also for the common good of every society, nation and state.

When freedom is used to dominate the weak, to squander natural resources and energy, to deny basic necessities to people, to stand up and affirm the demands of justice and social love.

Almighty Father, give us courage to proclaim the supreme dignity of all human life and to demand that society itself give its protection. We ask this in your name, through the redemptive act of your Son and in the Holy Spirit. Amen.

A Prayer to Mary for Our Nuns

O Mary - Queen, Spouse, and Mother of God - we ask you to intercede with God for one of the Earth's most valuable and needed resources, our nuns. 

May their contemplative prayer be a source of power and energy which leads the entire world to better see the Face of God. 

May their service be cheerful, effective, rewarding, and Christ-like, because He has entrusted to their care His sick, His poor, His troubled brothers and sisters, and His children. 

May their purity and their burning love for Jesus give them unspeakable joy and ignite that same love in our hearts. 

May their detachment from material things and their attachment to the divine King and His Kingdom shower both them and us with eternal riches.

May their obedience and fidelity to the Church and to God's will give them strength, courage, peace, and contentment, and be an inspiration for all of us. 

In short, may they be perfect brides of Christ - and more and more like you. 

Amen.

ADORATION PRAYER

My Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that You are really here in this Sacrament.

Night and day You remain here compassionate and loving.

You call, You wait for, You welcome everyone who comes to visit You.

I thank You, Jesus my Divine Redeemer for coming upon the earth for our sake and for instituting the Adorable Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist in order to remain with us until the end of the world.

I thank You for hiding beneath the Eucharistic species Your infinite majesty and beauty, which Your Angels delight to behold, so that I might have courage to approach the throne of Your mercy.

I thank You dear Jesus, for having become the priceless Victim, to merit for me the fullness of heavenly favors.

Awaken in me such confidence in You that their fullness may descend ever more fruitfully upon my soul.

I thank You for offering Yourself in thanksgiving to God for all His benefits, spiritual and temporal which He has bestowed on me.

Grant me grace and perseverance in your faithful service. Amen.

Prayer to the Heart of Jesus

O Jesus, we know you are gentle and that you gave your Heart for us. It was crowned with thorns through our sins. We know that even today you are praying for us so that we will not be lost. Jesus, remember us when we fall into sin.
Through your most Sacred Heart, make us all love one another. Cause hatred to disappear among men. Show us your love. We all love you and we want you to protect us with your Heart of the Good Shepherd. Come into each heart, Jesus! Knock at the door of our hearts. Be patient and persistent with us. We are still closed up in ourselves because we have not understood your will. Knock continuously, O Jesus, make our hearts open to you, at least in remembering the Passion you have suffered for us. Amen.

PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEARTS

Sacred Heart of Jesus today I wish to live in You, in Your grace, in which I desire at all costs to persevere. Keep me from sin and strengthen my will by helping me to keep watch over my senses, my imagination, and my heart. Help me to correct my faults which are the source of sin. I beg You to do this, O Jesus, through Mary, Your Immaculate Mother.

O most holy heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore You, I love You, and with lively sorrow for my sins I offer You this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure and wholly obedient to Your will. Grant, Good Jesus, that I may live in You and for You. Protect me in the midst of danger. Comfort me in my afflictions. Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, Your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death. Amen.
