“A Note from Andre
I want to thank
you all for the many ways the Catholic Church has helped my family with food
and medicine, and how they have supported my family in very hard times of
illness. My son needs special food and each month the Catholic parish buys us
his food and diapers. Thanks be to God for Fr. Michael because he helps many
families, especially those families who are waiting for a new baby. He has also made arrangements with a local restaurant to give
the parish left over food from wedding parties and banquets. Fr. Michael brings
this food to us and other poor families every Sundays.
I have my
daughter, my son, my wife and her cousin and we all live in a one room
dormitory with a shared kitchen and bathroom with six other people in six other
rooms. I am in a group that gets government aide once a month. I am in this
group as a person with handicaps and because of them I cannot work. The 400
dollars barely pays for our room, heating, electricity and water. Without the
Catholic Church my family would not survive.
I became
Catholic over 16 years ago and thought about joining the religious life but God
had other plans. My wife and I are married in the Church and both of our
children are baptized. May the Lord bless you through your works of mercy and
may they multiply and give others the help we have received. May the Lord give
you health and happiness, love and peace to you and your family

Daughters of Charity
We love our
Sisters, The Daughters of Charity. They come to us from the US , Poland
and now from the Ukraine .
For the last ten years they have taught us what it means to be instruments of
mercy. They care for our poor; they care for the elderly when the elderly have
no one to care for them. The sisters take the elderly and love them with the
mercy of Christ.
Our sisters are
liturgists, catechists, teachers, evangelists,
musicians,
lovers of the poor, young, and the old and they even the care for the
priests. We pray for our Sisters of Mercy and are so thankful they are here.
Thank you Lord, for the Daughters of Charity.
Here are some of the the
pictures of the Sisters who have become our Sisters and have given so many
in our parish the gift of healing and hope.
Chance of
a Lifetime
I am going to Rome to give a retreat to
some of the Sisters of Mother Theresa at the end of May 2014. Since I
was going to be in Rome
I wrote a letter to the Pope's secretary to see if I could celebrate Mass with
the Holy Father before the retreat. TODAY I GOT AN ANSWER and YES I will
celebrate Mass with the Holy Father on May 22nd at 7 in the
morning! I am so thankful and so blessed and so amazed. I love this holy
and broken church of ours. We are an amazing bunch of pilgrims. I will bring
you all with me to the altar.
-Fr Michael
